Fine-grain/machining steel advantages

The high mechanical values (yield strength / tensile strength) of our grades enable considerable reductions in dimensions or wall thickness and, regardless of this, have guaranteed elongation and toughness values with good weldability.

The basis for this is DIN EN 13480-3, which also applies to the following graphical representations.

  • Are your cylinders too heavy?
  • Do your cylinders take up too much space?
  • Can your cylinders use higher pressure levels?

The high mechanical values (yield strength / tensile strength) of our grades enable considerable reductions in dimension or wall thickness and, regardless of this, have guaranteed elongation and toughness values (see table) with good weldability.

These weight-saving potentials are becoming increasingly important in the field of mobile hydraulics. With an unchanged design, high mechanical values mean increased safety.

The values listed are calculated for an inside diameter of 300 mm
